SSI will not consider distribution to be income. Neither SSI eligibility nor payment amount will be affected.
This is true even if the QDE is for housing costs when not retained beyond the month of the distribution or a basic living expense like food. Ordinarily, SSI would consider either payment a form of unearned income if paid through another source.
