The Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University Publishes Paper on ABLE

The Burton Blatt (BBI) Institute at Syracuse University, a research based entity dedicated to advancing the civic, economic, and social participation of persons with disabilities, has just published a comprehensive perspective on the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act. The article, authored by Michael Morris, J.D., Executive Director, National Disability Institute and BBI, Christopher Rodriguez, M.P.A., Senior Public Policy Advisor, National Disability Institute, and Peter Blanck Ph.D, Chairman, BBI, explains the critical elements of ABLE implementation and describes the impact of ABLE on future disability policy and program development.

The piece articulates a number of perspectives related to the ABLE Act including, a general context for the law's relevance and impact, the core components of the law, recommendations for ABLE program design and implementation, guiding principles for effective program efficiency, and projected transformative future attributes of ABLE programs and accounts.
