ABLE National Resource Center Joins Expert Panel at College Savings Foundation Conference

March 17, 2016

Last week, the ABLE National Resource Center (ANRC) and National Disability Institute (NDI) were represented at the College Savings Foundation (CSF) Conference in Atlantic Beach, Florida by Chris Rodriguez, senior public policy advisor for NDI. The CSF Conference brings together leading experts from the College Savings 529 arena, many of whom will also be administering their state’s 529 ABLE program. The conference hosted a dedicated session focusing on the implementation of the ABLE Act and the development of state ABLE programs nationwide. Mr. Rodriguez was joined on the panel by individuals representing ABLE programs in the states of Florida, Nebraska, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Topics discussed during the presentation included:

  • State Program Statuses
  • Program Characteristics
  • ABLE Marketing Strategies
  • Future Legislative Changes to the Law

In anticipation of the first state ABLE programs opening for enrollment, ANRC and NDI would like thank CSF for allowing us to sit on the ABLE panel and share our perspective on these exciting new programs.

For additional information on ABLE programs, visit the ABLE NRC website. Founded and managed by NDI, the ANRC's goal is to educate individuals with disabilities and their families, ABLE program administrators, financial institutions and other relevant stakeholders about the benefits of an ABLE account.
